Back to the roots - traditional art 2007

Another year goes by, another year of wonderful art comes to an end.

This article is dedicated to all traditional artists here on

who invest innumerable hours of time to create an original handmade piece of art - from the beginning, the idea of a simple sketch through to the final version without any digital effects only by using simple pencils,charcoal,pastels,acrylics or any other traditional tools.

The following assorted samples are my personal Highlights of the year 2007.
This is only a small assortment.

After my summer vacation i fell into a deep black hole, can´t pick up a pencil to draw a simple sketch or only a small thin line.In the last weeks, there was no place for art in my life and i don´t know why.
My inspiration was gone...
Unfortunately i had to draw 6 commissions,god, it´s very hard to do without fun and joy but now i see a  little light at the end of the tunnel.
The first two commissions were a big success and the clients are very very happy.
I think, it´s time for my

COME BACK.

I started it with a drawing of my favorite singer, a lady i adore, she´s so beautiful and i love her music - Nelly Furtado.
I prefer a not often used reference picture of her,a shot token when she performed "say it right" live on stage.I´m very suspended for the result, because of the perspective and her face, it´s very difficult to catch.I hope you can identify her after she´s changing her image.

I started also with a drawing of my absolutely TV hero Kevin James as the one and only King of Queens and a portrait of another hero, Hayden Panettiere as Claire Bennet.

By the way, i was tagged again, this time by the sweet and innocent

1. Tell me the 5 persons that you immediately think about when you hear DA and show me something from them?

...cause she's such a wonderful woman and live in my favorite country.I think of France, i think of Pauline and i think of DA... :thumb39023540:

...cause she´s one of my "oldest" friends here and i love it to see how she´s getting better and better with every new drawing!

...cause he's one of DA´s best landscape photographers and i often can´t wait to see his newest one...

last but not  least i think of because of her amazing, adorable art to catch the beauty of a face or the grace of the human body in her shots.She´s a real master...

2. What is your favorite kind of art here on DA and why?

There is no favorite, no number 1. Surely, i´m a traditional artist and so i like this stuff in any form.But when you look at my personal ´s you can also see a lot of erotic art, or landscape shots,portraits as well or digital paintings.

Well, i´m a really boring person so what could i tell ya???!I try my best:

I am a big child captured in a grown up body, because i love it to collect soccer collector cards...

I`m hooked by "LOST" - i can´t wait to see the ultimate final.When i saw the last seconds of seasons 3 final i was totally addled.
